Measuring the average temperature of a chilled, frozen or warmed food product can present a real challenge for food manufacturers and retailers.
Typically, an inspection would involve a device that measures the product’s surface temperature or the probing of a packaged product, which is invasive and effectively destroys the product.
That was until now. Celsius Instruments offer a non-invasive thermometry system to measure the average temperature of items such as frozen and chilled food-stuff.
The system can measure chilled, frozen and warm products ranging in temperature from -30°C to +30°C. Celsius offers two instruments including the entry level Celsius Midi and the larger Celsius Meso which is designed for larger carton sized products.
Inspection Systems Managing Director said: “Celsius produces fast, consistent and accurate readings because the temperature measurement is not reliant on the positioning of a temperature probe. Plus, it also offers significant savings in terms of product wastage, packaging, replacement probes and rejected product.”
